A recent report has unveiled intriguing details about Kadokawa Corporation, the company that recently acquired FromSoftware and Acquire. According to the findings, the Japanese giant is planning significant expansion in the coming years, with a vast portfolio of projects in development. Notably, 26 titles are currently in the works at renowned studios such as FromSoftware, Spike Chunsoft, Gotcha Gotcha Games, Acquire, and VIC GAME STUDIOS.

According to the available information, 20 of these projects are aimed at the console market, while the remaining ones are designed for mobile devices. Although no specific details about the titles in development have been disclosed yet, it is highly likely that one of them is being developed by FromSoftware, which may announce a new game in the coming months following the success of “Elden Ring”.

After the triumph of the video game and its expansion “Shadow of the Erdtree”, anticipation is building for FromSoftware’s next title. The renowned japanese studio is reportedly working on multiple projects, but concrete details about their nature have yet to be revealed. An intriguing piece of information has emerged courtesy of the well-known leaker Kurakasis: FromSoftware’s upcoming project is reportedly codenamed “CL”. According to rumors, this new title will not be connected to “Elden Ring”, whose internal code “GR” – Great Rune – has remained unchanged, even for its expansion.

According to Kurakasis, the codename “CL” refers to an entirely new project from FromSoftware, unrelated to “Elden Ring”. However, one thing is clear: Hidetaka Miyazaki remains deeply involved in the development of new titles. The acclaimed game designer, renowned for his groundbreaking work, will undoubtedly return with another standout game. The only question is when and how it will happen.
