Honda Motor Europe Ltd. once again proved its leadership at EICMA 2025 by showcasing cutting-edge motorcycle technology alongside a strong commitment to sustainability. The company was awarded the prestigious Sustainable Exhibitor Award, the first official recognition from EICMA dedicated specifically to sustainable stand management. This accolade highlights Honda’s dedication to environmentally responsible practices, aligning with the event’s renewed focus on sustainability, certified by ISO 20121 and managed by RIGHT HUB Società Benefit.

Honda’s achievement stems from a meticulously planned approach based on scientific methodology, particularly through the application of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). This rigorous analysis evaluated the environmental impact of the stand’s design and construction, leading to innovative solutions that minimized ecological footprint. The result was a striking, eco-friendly exhibition space that exemplifies both technological advancement and environmental responsibility.

The Honda stand, spanning over 3,000 square meters, was constructed using 77.5% recycled aluminum in its modular framework, combined with low-emission panels made from poplar and MDF. Materials were chosen for their durability, lightweight nature, and reusability, emphasizing sustainability at every step. Additionally, the visual communication fabrics used are made from OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified polyester, designed for multiple uses, while the modular flooring can be dismantled and reused for future events.

The impact of these sustainable choices is significant. According to the LCA study, the environmental footprint per event was just 31.72 tons of CO₂ equivalent, representing a reduction of 97.2% compared to traditional stand designs. This innovative approach not only reduces initial emissions but also results in a total savings of over 1,100 tons of CO₂e for each event, demonstrating that sustainable design is both feasible and highly effective in the exhibition industry.

William Armuzzi, General Manager of Honda Motor Europe Ltd. Stated: “This award confirms Honda’s ongoing commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Sustainability is not just a goal for us but a continuous journey that influences every aspect of our business—from product development to communication and events. This recognition motivates us to keep innovating responsibly, always putting people and the planet first”.

During EICMA 2025, Honda also unveiled exciting new models, including the V3R 900 E-Compressor prototype and its first electric motorcycle, the WN7. These innovations underscore Honda’s strategy to blend advanced technology with environmental stewardship, paving the way for a sustainable mobility future.
